About
Finding significance wherever authentic life has left its mark
Some paintings are meant to be viewed.
I hope mine invite you to stay a little longer.
I've always believed that the places we remember most aren't simply beautiful—they change something in us. A quiet forest trail, the stillness of a mountain lake, the watchful eyes of a wolf, or the warmth of the evening light can all become part of our own story if we're willing to pause long enough to notice them.
As a child, I remember standing in front of a landscape painting and wanting to step inside it. I wasn't wondering who painted it or how it was made. I wanted to follow the path, explore what lay beyond the trees, and discover what waited around the next bend. In many ways, that's still why I paint today.
Whether I'm creating landscapes, wildlife, or more abstract pieces, my hope isn't simply to paint a scene. It's to create a place where we can pause together for a while. A place to reflect, to wonder, to remember, or perhaps to see our own journey from a different perspective.
If my work encourages you to linger a little longer, breathe a little deeper, or discover something that speaks to you in your own life, then the painting has already become more than I could have hoped for. Long after the paint has dried, I like to think the conversation can continue.
